Welcome to my Website and to Playa del Carmen!
My name is Gabi, I am German and I decided after only one vacation in Playa del Carmen to move to Mexico. I was ready for a change. This was 2001 and I arrived in Playa del Carmen without knowing any Spanish and my English was very basic. I started my new live in Playa del Carmen with different jobs (dive center, hotel, and travel agency) and I was living in different areas: on the beach at Xpu-Ha in a trailer, in the jungle of Chemuyil in a Palapa, in an apartment of a hotel close to Puerto Aventuras were I was working, and in different condos, houses and apartments in Playa del Carmen. 2001 Playa del Carmen was still a small town at the Caribbean Sea with a lot of undevoloped areas.
Today things have changed for me and Playa del Carmen:
I life in the center of Playa del Carmen, 7 minutes from the beach, 1 minute from a big supermarket and with foreign and Mexican neighbors, and also Playa del Carmen has changed from being a small Fishermen’s Village to a cosmopolitan charming town where people from all over the world live peaceful together.
It took some time for me until I found a job I really enjoy: helping people to find their dream home in beautiful Playa del Carmen.
